We would like to congratulate Gallant Construction for building the first two Pret A Manger sandwich shops in the Chicago area.  Gallant completed the first sandwich shop this past September.  The second has reached its Construction Turnover Date, and is scheduled to open in December! 

Pret opened in London in 1986. College friends, Sinclair and Julian, made proper sandwiches using natural, preservative-free ingredients. The two of them had woefully little experience in the world of business. They created the sort of food they craved, but couldn’t find anywhere else. Pret has grown to over 200 shops worldwide.  Besides being located in the UK and Hong Kong, their US shops can be found in New York, Washington DC, and now Chicago.  “Every Pret shop has its own kitchen.  We get cracking early in the morning where we slice, chop, bake, and toss natural, carefully chosen ingredients all day long.  ‘Just Made’ honorable salads and sandwiches – proper food – built to taste, not to last.”

We are proud to announce the successful completion of Subcontractor Tracking enhancements!  The enhanced Subcontractor Tracking features now allow you to detail specifically what each subcontractor’s activities were for a specific day.  This new feature was driven from general contractor feedback, by itemizing each subcontractor’s work performed it is easier for the Superintendents to recall all activities completed for that day.  We also included this information in the project’s Weekly Status Report.  When you click the button to create your Weekly Status Report, we will automatically pull in a detailed list of all work performed by your subcontractors.

In addition to these new enhancements,  we have added Subcontractor Change Order Management to each subcontractor’s profile.  This gives a general contractor the ability to enter and track subcontractor change orders, associate them with a Request for Information (RFIs)  add photos, backup documentation and approve the Change Order.  All Subcontractor Change Orders rollup to a project report for quick review and action.

We are proud to announce our successful move to the Qwest Cyber Center this past weekend!  Moving to a new co-location, is a direct result of our acquisition by Expesite.  As Jeff Sopp, CEO of Expesite, and I talked about the benefits of the acquisition, we pin pointed early on that moving our servers over to Expesite’s environment at the Qwest Cyber Center would be a huge benefit to us and our users.  Our users will benefit from improved performance as a result of faster connection speeds.  In talking to Geoff Cook, Senior Vice President of Technology for Expesite, one of the biggest benefits users will experience is increased bandwidth.  With the move we increased our mbps by 500%!!  In addition to speed, security and redundancy have been improved.  To learn more about the Quest Cyber Center please click here

We are proud to announce the release of Recent Actions.  Recent Actions is found on your company home page and displays all recent activity that has occurred on your projects.

The goal of the feature was to create a simple method for our users to view recent activity without scrolling their inbox messages.

The Recent Actions feature was a community request.   As a majority of our users travel from jobsite to jobsite and can be away from Report Hawk for extended periods of time they asked us for a simple solution for “catching” up on their projects when they login.
